Fitness Defined

Wellness can't be bought or acquired passively. Wellness is proactively experienced through a lifestyle that results in optimal health and happiness.


The term health is more often identified with the passive state of being disease-free or the reactive state of having a health condition. Conceptually, a person could avoid the obvious lifestyle pitfalls and with a little luck still have their health at a particular age. Wellness on the other hand, requires a proactive and informed pursuit.


We all know people want to improve their health and happiness, but with all of life's options and distractions, it is difficult to know what to do, who to trust, or where to start.

Fitness is defined as a state of being healthy, which prepares the body for the physical necessities of daily life. To be more precise, fitness provides strength, flexibility and stamina for the proper functioning of the body.


It is a total solution for a perfect, fine-tuned life. The five main components of fitness are aerobic endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility and body composition. The right kind of physical and mental exercises and proper intake of nutritious food are the factors that contribute to fitness. A well-balanced diet not only makes one fit but provides all necessary nutrients for the body.


Fitness is certainly essential to ensure not only your physical being, but also your mental and emotional wellbeing. When you are physically fit, you do not only feel good, but you also look good and can handle your daily routine better. When you feel better about yourself, you look at the world in a different perspective and you tend to focus on the positives when it comes to pursuing your dreams.
